Gillian Tan

A seasoned corporate leader with 30 years’ working experience.  Her last position in 2019 as the President of Asia Pacific for Marmon Foodservice Group, Berkshire Hathaway Corporation. She specializes in strategic planning, business transformation, talent development and building a collaborative culture. Her executive track record has produced exceptional bottom-line results in multi-millions dollar business units.
Today, she is a consultant/advisor for business owners on strategic vision & planning, an “inside-out” leadership mentor and integral coach for senior executives and young working adults.  A volunteer mentor at Asia Institute of Mentoring (AIM), Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and Covenant Evangelical Church (CEFC) for career, leadership & life transition/advancement.  An active teacher volunteer with Junior Achievement (JA) on Entrepreneurship & e-mentor for JA Social Innovation Relay (a global competition sponsored by Hewlett Packard).

She set-up Oklin Singapore Pte Ltd in 2020 for promoting clean environment, sustainability & social responsibility with innovative food waste treatment solutions.  Oklin’s Composter utilizes the microbial technology in an aerobic environment, converting up to 90% food waste into compost and eliminates food waste disposal cost in today’s businesses.  The China facility manufactures and collaborate with Institute of Agricultural Resources & Environment in Guang Dong city & local authorities, towards a circular economy; by closing the loop, further treating the compost into organic fertilizers, completing the cycle of “Farm to Fork to Farm”.
