Annette Valentine Eriksen

I’m a Dane who is curious about life, different ways of living and have been educated and worked in five different countries in the world.

I’m a holistic Coach and Counsellor, who uses person centred counselling next to solution focused counselling. I also work with breathing exercises and have a creative approach with use of art therapy.

I have worked with counseling, coaching and career guidance for mainly students and young people for nearly ten years now. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance, Master in Arts & Guidance and a Master in Counseling and Psychotherapy. I am also an educated Art Teacher and English Teacher for foreigners.

From a young age I had the experience of having a life threatening illness, that went away only to come back years later and then back again years later in a different form but still life threatening. When that happened to me I started to ask myself a lot of question on how I wanted to live and what really matters to me. As you can imagine this started early in my life and I still ask questions and make the changes needed when and if a change is needed.

It may sound strange for someone to say this but having a life threatening illness is actually the best thing that happened to me, as it made me be more aware and appreciating the smaller joys of life.

My Education & Professional Membership

Next to this organisation, I’m a member of PACFA in Australia. I follow the code of ethics and guidelines set out by PACFA.

I have a Master in Counselling and Psychotherapy from India. Furthermore I got a Master in Arts (Guidance) & Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance, from England. While living here in Australia I have taken different professional development courses within counselling, art therapy,leadership courses and also a supervision course in relation to being a counsellor.

My first degrees was as a Multimedia Designer and Art Teacher in Denmark. I’m from Denmark, now living in Australia. I have also lived in India, England and Belgium.
