Membership Agreement

of the International Association of Coaching-Institutes (ICI)

This membership agreement is an expression of the mission of ICI and of the commitment made by each ICI-Member.

Membership is possible as experienced Coaching-Institute or on each stage of ICI-Qualification: Coach, Mastercoach, Master Coach Trainer. 
Each ICI-Member has signed the ICI-Member-Statement which you find below. 

Only ICI-Members on the stage of Master Coach Trainer or Coaching-Institute are authorised to certify with the ICI-Seal  

The presupposition to become a member of the ICI as an Master Coach Trainer are, that

• you have successfully passed the Master Coach Trainer Colloquium of the ICI

• you do not offer short Coach-Standard-Trainings that you certify below the ICI-Standards: Coach 24 days/220 hours, Master Coach 30 days/265 hours.

• you have not yet accomplished 7 Coaching standard trainings (after that amount of experience and after a cooperative talk with a member of the ICI-board you switch to the level of a seal-authorized ICI-member-institute)

• you have a cooperation with an experienced Coaching-Institute of the ICI

The presuppositions to become a Coaching Institute Member of the ICI are, that:

• you have successfully finished at least 7 Coaching-Standard-Trainings (Coach with 24 days/220 hours or Master Coach with 30 days/265 hours)

• you do not offer short Coaching-Standard-Trainings (Coach, Master Coach) that you certify below the ICI-Standards

• at least two member-institutes of the ICI are so convinced of your professional standards and integrity, that they guarantee for you

• the board of directors of the ICI decides to admit you as a Member Institute of the ICI

Membership fees

For IN members with coaching qualifications is the ICI membership free

The yearly ICI-Membership fee for ICI Member Institutes with a seal-licence is 150 Euros plus 100 Euros for each Master Coach Trainer.

The yearly ICI-Membership fee for a Master Coach Trainer with a seal-licence is 150 Euros. 

The yearly ICI-Membership fee for a Master Coach is 90 Euros. 

The yearly ICI-Membership fee for a Coach is 70 Euros. 

Each seal is 15 Euros.

Agreement and conditions for ICI Members 

Every year ICI Member Institutes write a professional article about Coaching, which will be published on the ICI-Website.

ICI-members link their website with the ICI-Website.

ICI-members update their profile on the ICI-Website on a regular basis.

I hereby confirm that:

• I abide by the Ethics Codex of ICI

• I stand up for the ICI, take active part in the ICI and promote the publicity of the ICI

• I abide as an ICI-Master-Coach-Trainer or ICI-Institute the participation standards and requirements of ICI in all my certification courses

• I, as an ICI-Master-Coach-Trainer or ICI-Institute , continuously expand my abilities, knowledge, and courses, in order to keep up with changes regarding standards, guidelines, requirements, and conditions determined by ICI

• The board of directors of the ICI has the right to modify the agreements, requirements, and conditions that concern the ICI-Members, in order to continuously improve the ICI as a professional, international high quality standards organization

• I abide by the ICI guidelines regarding the use of the ICI-Logo and the ICI-Seal

• I, as an ICI-Master-Coach-Trainer or ICI-Institute , use the logo and the ICI-seal only for trainings that meet the guidelines, standards, and the Ethics Codex of the ICI

• I, as an ICI-Master-Coach-Trainer or ICI-Institute , do not claim ownership of the logo, the seal, or other materials; I only use these in accord with this agreement for the duration of my registered membership at the ICI

• I acknowledge the certificates issued by all ICI-Master-Coach-Trainer or ICI-Institutes worldwide

• I act responsibly and ethically in my interactions with clients

• The board of directors of the ICI has the right and the liability to remove my name from the register and to withdraw my status and its privileges, if I should offend against one of the predetermined agreements and conditions

• The ICI is an organization whose members commit themselves through the membership itself to meet the quality standards developed by the ICI, while the ICI takes no responsibility regarding the marketing or the day-to-day business of a member

• Especially concerned for ICI Member Institutes: Once a year I write a professional articel, that can be published on the website of the ICI

• Especially concerned for ICI Member Institutes: My ICI-Member Institute and its Master Coach Trainer will be presented and made public on the ICI-Website www.Coaching-Institutes.net with the asked member profil and I will provide unrequested all the respective data as well as any changes

• Especially for ICI Member Institutes applies: I, as the director of my member institute, take full responsibility for the adherence of the ICI-Guidelines at my institute

• Especially for ICI Member Institutes applies: I recommend only those institutes with more than 7 Coach trainings for membership at the ICI of whose integrity I am so convinced that I vouch for these institutes within the ICI

Guidelines concerning the ICI-Logo and the ICI-Seal

The ICI-Logo may only be used on marketing materials that advertise a training that is in accord with the ICI-Guidelines. With the ICI-Logo, the following statement needs to be written on the materials:

“This training is conducted in accord with the quality standards of the International Association of Coaching Institutes”

• The ICI-Logo can be used on business cards, on letterheads, advertisements and websites

• If the ICI-Logo is used by ICI-members on flyers or advertisements that announce different trainings or events, it should be clear which of these will be conducted according to ICI-Standards and which not.

• The ICI-Seal may only be used on ICI-Certificates, that confirm the participation in a training, that was conducted by an ICI Master Coach Trainer who is registered on the website of the ICI.

1. I actively support the good reputation of the ICI and abide by 

    the Ethics Codex and quality guidelines of the ICI. 

2. I only recommend and take part in such certified Coaching Trainings, 

    which correspond to the quality standards of the ICI. 

3. My behavior in interaction with seminar participants, 

    colleagues and competitors is fair and cooperative. 

4. I stand up for the ICI and I am also a contact person for others, 

    who want to be informed about the ICI and keep my personal 

    information on the ICI website updated.

5. I commit myself with my resources and in my way to use Coaching in 

    high quality and to support networks and quality circles in the ICI.
