Vision of our Institute
The name of our institute emphasizes our intention:a forum is a public meeting place. Meta stands for overlooking the whole, acquiring backgrounds and coherence.
It is our concern to enable committed people to meet each other – to explore together, to apply, and to put to the test the patterns and possibilities of change hidden in human communication.
At the same time, we teach the leading models for change, methods, and aspects of application in our trainings; like NLP, systemic coaching, mediation, hypnotherapy, systemic constellation work, and many more. In this connection we think of ourselves as an Academy for Creative Communication, which incorporates and integrates several fields.
The centerpiece of our work are the biannual multiple week-long courses for further professional training, the summer campus and the winter campus. They build the forum in which there is room for social exchange, intensive learning experiences, profound encounters, and professional development.
Our former vision, to do this internationally and interculturally, has already been realized by us.
Now we want the world campus to establish a form of further education which is open worldwide; in which not only existing methods and models are taught, but in which we want to develop new solutions and models for the global problems of our time.
Apart from these transnational activities, we also offer additional professional trainings in numerous German cities, in which trusted cooperation partners are supporting us.
Strengths of our Institute
The integrative training model, the summer campus and the winter campus, belong to the most varied compact trainings worldwide, and to the ones richest in tradition. Leading international trainers teach here, and we offer the latest training contents in areas like NLP, coaching, mediation, hypnotherapy and systemic constellation work, each complementing each other. To connect methods, bring together people from different countries and cultures, to develop new models, and to keep developing and challenging ourselves, belongs to the strong points of our institute.
Completed Trainings , last update 29/1/2007 :
Trainings carried out, as of Dec/2006
About 6.000 people have been trained in NLP at the Forum-Network, about 400 up to the trainer degree. A great number of today’s successful German-speaking NLP trainers have completed their training either partly or in full at the Forum. Most of the participants came to us on the recommendation of those who had already been there. For this, we would like to thank you.
Figures, Data & Facts
Founding of the Institute: in 1986, Bernd Isert founded the Forum of Meta-Communication as a network for seminars, which today is present in many cities with independent partner institutes.
In 1990, Bernd Isert organized the first Forum summer campus near Oldenburg, to which biannual follow-up events were soon added: the summer campus and the winter campus. The countries and places in which the campuses were held so far are Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Tenerife, Hungary, the Caribbean, Austria, Cyprus, Turkey, Tunisia, Malta, and currently, Brazil.
Another important series of events with an excellent reputation and tradition are the „Heidelberg Impulses“, which are organized in cooperation with the Heidelberg Academy of Health Education.
